Christmas day crappie
« on: December 25, 2015, 03:50:08 PM »
Well the wife and youngest kiddo decided to take a nap after Christmas lunch so I got to run to the boat slips and fish for a couple hours.  Kind of crazy that they are in there in 5-8 fow in December but it is what it is. Finished with 40 total 12 of which were keepers.  Would drop it to bottom, swing it over to the brush till made contact then hold it dead still and wait for the thump.  Most caught on a small black/chart jig but when the bite slowed switched over to a black and gray jig and picked up a few more.

The day after Christmas crappie were either somewhere else or just not as cooperative.  Fished two hours and only caught five unders and five decent keepers.
