Martin Creek 5-1
« on: May 01, 2015, 04:41:52 PM »
Caught 16 keepers today.  This 14 x 5 was my big one for the day.  Caught of few of his litter mates too.  Dug and dug in my tackle box looking for a jig that resembled Ketchn's peas and carrot.  I found one and drop it and it went right in the lake.  These were caught mostly on chartreuse jig with a pink head.  When that slowed down I went with a silver jig with blue tail feathers and that's what the big girls wanted.  Caught them in 14 to 25 fow but the bite came at 10 ft.  The morning bite stopped about 10:30.

Are they still showing up?  They seem to have left our slip at Joe Pool Marina.

I haven't had the chance to go back.  Trying to get caught up on a few things since the rains let up this week.  Caught these under bridges holding tight to the columns.
