Martin Creek 5/8
« on: May 08, 2015, 09:08:10 PM »
Slow, Slow, Slow and it seemed like perfect conditions.  Overcast, very little breeze, hint of rain in the air but then again I ain't a fish so who knows what they like.  Had to work at it but managed 6 nice crappie.  Even the bass had lock jaw today and that's odd for this lake.  The lake has cleared up a lot and visibility is about 3 to 4 ft.  About noon the wind changed direction and picked up speed out of the southwest which is the worst direction for this lake.  Time to go home.  Still a good day of fishin.

Same thing yesterday at the Joe Pool slip.  Wife only caught four crappie and none of them were nice sized.  I couldn't get anything to hit my lures.

It was nice and I though the fishing would be better.  Well, the fishing was nice, it was only the catching that wasn't.

Thought about you earlier EZ.  There was a man bank fishing under the bridge I was fishing yesterday and he was catching some BIG bream using cut bait.  He didn't catch a lot but they were good ones for sure.
