Benbrook Lake Level
« on: May 27, 2015, 03:56:18 PM »
Benbrook Lake is now at 703.25 ft.  Full pool is considered to be 694 ft. so Benbrook Lake is 9.25 feet above full pool level.

Maybe it will stay close to full until next spring so I can catch me some spring slabs from the brook. It has been a few years since I tried but had good luck in the spring back then just banking or taking a small jon boat. Now I have the might 2 man!

If I thought it would stay at conservation level I would move my boat to the marina at Benbrook.  I prefer Benbrook to Joe Pool and kept my boat there for several years when I lived here in the 80's.

But I was told by the marina operator in August 2012, when I bought my pontoon, that there would be several months a year when I would not be able to get the pontoon into the lake from the marina slips.

So I went to Joe Pool instead.

So I wonder how long it will take Ft. Worth to drain Benbrook again.

they will drain it fast once the west fork settles down
but the good news is that  I just realized I can go hit the clear fork at lunch break
never tried that before  :clap

They've dropped the water level there almost two feet in the last week.  They dropped Lewisville 1.67 foot in the last week.

In comparison they have dropped Joe Pool less than one foot over the last month.

It appears they are lowering all the area lakes except Joe Pool.
