Went over to Joe Pool Marina today.  The water was down some as the Corps was finally releasing some water through the gates.  From the lake level chart it appears they started lowing the water there yesterday.  Guess they are getting ready for the rain tomorrow.

Sure wish they would keep it at conservation level instead of several feet above flood state.  It is currently 4.69 above flood stage, which means they have dropped it about 4 1/2" over the last two days.

They need to drop it another 4' to make the lake usable at Joe Pool Lake.

Does Joe Pool drain into the river above or near where you are fishing?
